Yassaman graduated from the AA school of Architecture where she gained a MArch in Emergent Technologies & Design in 2012. She worked at Grimshaw Architects in London for over 6 years during which she had been involved in a wide variety of large-scale projects including HS2 Manchester station, Crossrail Architectural components and Oman Botanic Garden. During her time at Grimshaw, she has achieved an extensive experience in architectural detailing and building components.
Yassaman has a particular interest in developing product scale designs that are driven by structure and material efficiency. Tensilation Modular Canopy System is one example where she managed to apply such knowledge into practice, this was a collaborative work between Grimshaw and MDT-tex which was exhibited in Clerkenwell Design Week 2015. Outside of work, she enjoys hand-sketching and occasional painting.
