Michael joined Ben Adams Architects in 2011. He is commercially astute, able to advise clients on the best ways to unlock the potential of both sites and buildings to maximize value. Passionate about the way in which design can respond to the requirements of modern life, he looks at mediating the convergence between home and work environments, or public and private space, without defaulting to current trends as the obvious solution.
Michael is enthusiastic and approachable, always alert to the functional possibilities of 'leftover spaces’ and skilled at creating unexpected moments of joy within a design through simple, cost-effective interventions.
Michael runs the studio’s Design Review Panel, leading critical thinking in design development, and mentoring younger members of the team to engage in dialogue and develop a critical stance.
