Mark is an experienced architect with a strong background in housing, office, and hotel design. Contractually savvy and with more than 30 years’ experience in the profession, he has worked on construction projects at all scales, on new and existing buildings and on many tight, urban sites.
As Associate Director and Head of Construction, Mark keeps an active overview of developing projects within the studio to comply with client expectations and aspirations. He is part of the practice’s technical design review team, evaluating projects to ensure they are developed efficiently, to meet both the practice’s exacting architectural standards and best practice technical benchmarks.
Mark has led the construction phases of several technically challenging projects including the highly bespoke exterior of the Nobu Hotel in Shoreditch, and the complex remodelling of Senator House. He is skilled at mediating design ambitions with pragmatic builds, and building the kinds of honest and collaborative on-site relationships required to get things done.
