Gavin has worked for a number of London based practices and has over 12 years of experience working on large scale projects within the education, residential and office sectors. He has led projects from early concept stage through to construction and practical completion.
Gavin is a skilled early stage designer, with a responsive and pragmatic approach. He champions design ambition whilst working within constraints and is adept at incorporating the outcomes of consultation and design review into rapidly evolving concepts.
Gavin is a member of BAA’s in-house ‘home’ group contributing to knowledge share and best practice in the residential sector. He is interested in design efficiencies and looking for ways to improve the relationship between design and construction, including the wider application of modular techniques.
During his studies at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow, Gavin won the Bourdon Prize for his final year thesis project which looked at the redesign of the Glasgow Museum of Transport on the edge of the River Clyde.
