Fiona Baxter has a particular interest in creating spaces that play on the relationship between the indoors and outdoors. This has been influenced by her experience in Scandinavia and a short exchange to Japan where spaces often look to either shelter from the elements or dissolve the boundaries between the two. She has worked on Exhibition and gallery design, high-end private residential properties, restaurants and office refurbishments.
She finds every project to be an exciting possibility to balance structure, light and materiality, especially if it creates something people haven’t experienced before. Outside of Architecture she is a keen Basketballer, rock climber and runner. She is currently the team Captain for the Urban Foxes Women’s Basketball Team. She competes in the London Metropolitan Basketball League and also takes part in various European Tournaments. Besides the day to day running of the club, she has been able to put her creative skills to use, in the designing of the Men’s and Women’s team kits.
