Bethany has worked in architecture practices in both Glasgow and London, ranging from small scale private residential, high-end retail, restaurants to larger mixed-use residential schemes. She enjoyed designing bespoke interiors for projects and seeing the transformation of existing buildings. She also worked closely with residential clients during this time and enjoyed being hands on.
She grew up in Glasgow and studied at the University of Edinburgh and Glasgow School of Art for Part 1 and Part 2. Her architectural interests are rooted in questioning and responding to the socio-political context of cities, looking at how to factor in resilience into architectural interventions. She also likes to look at the poetic side of architecture and its’ relationship with art and storytelling. This has led onto involvement with community self-build projects for children in Glasgow.
She is an art enthusiast and enjoys visiting art galleries as well as trying out new restaurants. She has recently moved from Glasgow, so is always exploring what London has to offer. She goes through phases of sport obsessions, and at the moment it’s cycling and yoga.
